The world might be a vastly different place if it were not the world we know. This much has been proven, time and time again, by leading scientists of our time. What is not known, however, is the effect that temperature fluctuations at the South Pole have had to do with this phenomenon. The lack of certainty on this point has opened the entire matter to a furious debate, the true nature of which threatens to unravel the very fabric of our...
Sorry. Couldn't think of something that might be unraveling. Perhaps I'll catch it on my first round of edits. After all, this is the pre-coffee blog, entirely stimulant free. No caffeine here, alas. But apparently here was a bridesmaid in a pink outfit, one that looked exactly like a bridal gown, who gave me a ride in my waking dream. She was also the one who cooked all the food for the reception my wife and I attended, a reception that evidently followed a wedding.
I don't remember a wedding. I do remember the bridesmaid informing me that the cost of the meat for the affair was twenty-three dollars. This is a bargain for meat, even dream meat, and my wife and I wondered how she could pull off such a thing. We didn't find out, but I leave this as an exercise for the reader. How can you provide the meat for a reception at a cost of only twenty-three dollars? And why would you even think about such a thing? I certainly won't, and intend to have only vegetarian dreams from here on out.
But that, of course, leads to a question: Does the content of our dreams affect the world around us? That is, if we suddenly switch from caf to decaf, would everyone else slow down? Probably not. As the well-known butterfly effect demonstrates, the chain of events from one instance to another cannot be predicted with certainty but, if presented in the guise of a television commercial, the effect will almost certainly be magnified with each transference. In the end, switching to vegetarian dreams could well effect the temperatures at the poles.
And this could make the world a vastly different place.
