I fully believe that the problems we see in the world today are caused by the dearth of knock-knock jokes. When I was a kid, I knew a million of them. So many, in fact, that I only remember two. One of the two is printed above. The other, a multi-part joke that could count as seven or eight separate knock-knocks, is too groanful for even me to publish.
